Image transferring with a medium is very different from the rub off transfers you will find with the Iron Orchid Designs and the Prima Designs. Both produce beautiful artwork but that is about the only similarity.
Decoupage is not an image transfer. Both use prints and a medium but even these two elements are not quite the same.
So what is an image transfer?
It is the process of removing an image from one surface and applying it to another, the receiving surface, with the use of a medium.
In this course, you will learn how to image transfer using Gesso. Other mediums are available but I chose this medium as it has never failed me and it is readily available. Over time you may find another medium that is better suited to your artwork.
As you start to create with image transfers, you will see the how different they are from the other above mentioned decoupage and rub off transfers. I am quite certain you will be hooked.
